About LifestyleCheck

About Us

LifestyleCheck is an independent lifestyle publication built around two things: short, practical self-assessment quizzes, and original, in-depth articles on the everyday habits that shape how well our daily lives actually work.

What we’re trying to do

Most quiz websites fall into one of two categories: personality-test entertainment with no real substance, or thin, ad-heavy pages built primarily to generate clicks. We set out to build something different — quizzes genuinely useful enough to change how someone thinks about a habit, backed by articles substantial enough to stand on their own, with or without the quiz.

Every quiz on this site is built around real, everyday behaviors: sleep, spending, screen time, organization, travel planning, and similar practical topics. None of them attempt to diagnose a medical condition, a psychological disorder, or a financial situation. They’re designed to prompt useful reflection and point toward specific, realistic next steps — not to alarm, oversimplify, or replace professional advice.

How our quizzes are built

Each quiz on LifestyleCheck follows the same process:

  1. Topic and scope. We start with a specific, everyday behavior pattern (daily routines, money habits, digital wellbeing, and so on) rather than a vague or sensational premise.
  2. Question drafting. Our editorial team writes 10-15 questions per quiz based on concrete, observable behaviors — not abstract personality traits or trick questions designed to manipulate the result.
  3. Scoring design. Each answer maps to a simple point value, and total scores are grouped into four descriptive result tiers, each with practical, non-diagnostic language.
  4. Editorial review. Our senior editor reviews every quiz specifically for accuracy of language, absence of medical or psychological claims, and genuine practical usefulness before it’s published.
  5. Ongoing revision. We update and refine quizzes over time based on reader feedback and our own review process.

How our articles are created

Our articles are written in-house by our editorial team, based on established, general best practices around habits, organization, money management, and similar everyday topics. We do not publish content scraped or copied from other sites, and we do not use anonymous freelance content mills. Where an article touches on a more sensitive area — like money or general wellbeing — we include a short note pointing out that it’s general information, not personalized advice, and that a qualified professional is the right resource for individual guidance.

What LifestyleCheck is not

To be direct about our limits:

  • We are not a medical, psychological, financial, or legal advisory service.
  • Our quizzes do not diagnose anxiety, depression, ADHD, disease, financial hardship, or any other condition.
  • Our content is general and educational — it isn’t personalized to your individual circumstances.

If you’re dealing with a specific health, financial, or personal concern, please consult a qualified professional. Our Disclaimer page covers this in more detail.

Our small team

LifestyleCheck is run by a small, hands-on editorial team. You can read more about the specific people behind our content, and see their published work, on our author pages.
